Youth
Goal:
To support the social, emotional and academic development of the youth (including low-income, racialized and LGBTQ+) in the diverse neighbourhoods we serve.
Cecil Youth Drop-In
The Youth Drop-In is an after-school program open to youth, ages 13 to 19. It offers a variety of recreational activities, workshops, and special events in a safe, supervised environment. Teens can drop by after school to participate in sports, do their homework, play ping pong, billiards, or video games, or just hang out with their friends. The Cecil Youth Worker is available to supervise, assist with homework, and give advice.

Youth Drop-In Basketball
The Cecil Youth Drop-in Basketball Program is open to youth, ages 13-19.

- Time: Wednesday, 6:00pm – 8:00pm

CecilYouth! Day Camps
The CecilYouth! Day Camps provides youth aged 13-15, with new experiences, skill building, a sense of community, and lasting friendships. Featuring a wide range of engaging and interactive activities, the Day Camps help children develop new skills and have fun through group games, sports, arts & crafts, field trips and much more! The Day Camps include March Break, Winter Break, Summer Day and the Big “C” Leaders-in-Training Camp.

Workshops
Throughout the school year, we offer age-specific workshops for youth on a variety of topics. The workshops are hosted in partnership with local community members, subjects matter experts school boards, or other agencies. Topics covered include anti-bullying, appreciating diversity, financial literacy, body image, civic engagement…

SoCirc
a social circus organization led by professional circus artists trained in social circus approaches, who work alongside community workers to create community, and space to build artistic voices, communication skills, self-esteem, relationships and be creative while engaging in the artistic expression and movement of circus skills.
free community program workshops are thursdays from 6-830 (free food served at 6pm) this fall for young people 15-29 years old
